Rural Healthcare Recruitment
Air Date:02/09/2012
The State Senate passed a bill that establishes a program to assist rural health care facilities.
Senator James Bradford of Pine Ridge says Senate Bill 176 (One-Seventy-Six) deals with raising money to recruit health care officials.
"The healthcare facilities make an assistant payment also payable to the healthcare professional that practices in their facility," Bradford said.
The legislation passed the Senate floor with a unanimous vote. It's headed for the House Committee next.
