This Month's Books!

Here at South Dakota Public Broadcasting we believe that a community raises a child and as part of your community we want to help to educate your children about living and growing up healthy. This month is Friendship month so Buddy encourages your family to talk about how important it is to be a good friend in order to make good friends. Encourage your family to learn dream and grow with a little help from buddy and South Dakota Public Broadcasting.



"Clifford Makes a Friend"
Buddy says read the book Clifford Makes a Friend by Norman Bridwell. Clifford may be the biggest red dog in the neighborhood but he knows how to make friends! You can be big or small and still have fun laughing, playing and sharing. Why don't you make a new friend and don't forget....read with a Buddy!
 


"The Velveteen Rabbit"
Buddy says read the book The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams. In this book, the child loved the Velveteen Rabbit so much and for so long that he magically became a real rabbit! Read about the friendship that these two had and don't forget..........read with a Buddy!
 



"My Friends"
Buddy says read the book My Friends by Taro Gomi. The little girl in this book learns how to do lots of new things from her animal friends. She even learns how to read from her friends "the books". Check out this new book and don't forget...........read with a Buddy!




"Wemberly Worried "
Buddy says read the book Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes. Wemberly was a worrier! She worried that no one would come to her birthday party. She even worried that she might shrink in the bathtub! But when she starts school, read about the new friend who helped her stop being a worrier. Don't fortet...read with a Buddy.
