On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer engaged in a discussion of former Senator Tom Daschle's withdrawal of his nomination to be President Obama's Secretary of Health and Human Services. He was joined first by Jennifer Duffy, Senior Editor of the Cook Political Report to talk about why Daschle was embroiled in tax problems and how they undermined his nomination. Then Bob Burns, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Political Science at South Dakota State University talked about what Dashcle's means for South Dakotans and his political legacy. Finally, Paul was joined by Scott Engmann, Executive Director of the Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity affiliate on the death of Millard Fuller who founded the organization in 1976.
