On today's edition of Dakota Midday, host Paul Guggenheimer welcomed University of South Dakota Athletic Director Joel Nielsen. He talked about USD accepting an invitation to become a member of The Summit League. The move means a renewal of rivalries with two long time opponents, South Dakota State and North Dakota State. Then Paul spoke with regional political junkies Dave Kranz, columnist for the Sioux Falls Argus-Leader, and Kevin Woster, long time reporter of the Rapid City Journal in his regular Monday segment. They talked about a Dakota Wesleyan poll that shows that 62% of South Dakotans approve of the job President Obama is doing and took an impromtu poll of listeners.
