On 9/8/09, Rapid City Public Schools Superintendent Peter Wharton talks with host Paul Guggenheimer about how his district handled President Obama's webcast speech to school children. Then Paul interviews Pulitzer Prize-winning author and noted historian Daniel Walker Howe. Howe is delivering a lecture at the South Dakota State University Performing Arts Center next Wednesday called "Abraham Lincoln and the Moral Character." And finally, Paul talks with Joe Forrester who paddled his kayak over 90 days from the headwaters of the Missouri River in Montana, through South Dakota, and down to the Gulf of Mexico to raise money and awareness of Parkinson's disease.
