After a legislative update from SDPB's Stephanie Rissler, Paul Guggenheimer visits with 1972 Olympic gold medalist Frank Shorter. Shorter is the only American athlete to win two medals in the Olympic marathon event.
He talks about the running boom in America that was inspired by his Olympic victory, his career, terrorism at the 1972 Munich games and his work with the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency, an organization he helped establish.
Shorter is coming to Rapid City next week for the 5th annual Dublin Dash 5k run to benefit the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology student chapter of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers.
