SDPB News Director Cara Hetland hosts today's program which begins with an update on today's legislative news from Jackelyn Severin in Pierre.
Hetland is then joined by Memorial Middle School Resource Officer Rose Barker in Sioux Falls and by Associated School Boards of South Dakota Executive Director Wade Pogany in Pierre. Pogany discusses SB 130, a senate bill that would require each school district to adopt a policy prohibiting bullying. Barker talks about things she sees on a daily basis and about a new program to prevent bullying at the school she serves.
The Sioux Falls Argus Leader is introducing a new subscription model. Argus Leader Executive Editor Maricarrol Kueter talks about new apps and several changes to the paper's online content.
Meanwhile, the Abbey Road Band will perform tomorrow night to open the Dahl Arts Center's Winter Music Series 2012. Tony (Ringo) Johnson and Don (George) Lerdahl of the Rapid City based Beatles tribute band join today's show from SDPB's Rapid City studio.
