As Saturday passed outlooks, watches, and warnings foretold
the severe weather to come. Storm chasers moved into position to witness one of
natures most destructive forces. Many tornadoes come and
go with little or no damage, but at 8:38pm on Saturday, May 30 1998 the town of Spencer
was in the direct path of a deadly tornado.
