Spencer Today

Like the early construction period in a new planned subdivision, streets are rough from heavy equipment and new trees are taking root.

One rebuilding plan included a memorial park and green-way fronting East Street. Instead,  homes are sprouting randomly.

Vacant lots out number houses 5-to-1. The occasional reminder still marks the spot where a home once stood.  

Spencer Automotive

Every morning residents gather at Spencer Automotive for a free cup of coffee (donations to the coffee fund gladly accepted) and to chat about the latest news.

Spencer Automotive, run by Sam and Charles Roberts is the focal point when media organizations (the BBC, People Magazine, local stations) come to town.
